Abdollah Baei Lashaki

Post Doc

Abdollah Baei Lashaki is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Catania, specializing in the EU policymaking process. His PhD research investigated the determinants of access to the European Parliament for Human Rights NGOs, equipping him with comprehensive expertise in lobbying and advocacy dynamics. Abdollah's work illuminates the strategies and obstacles that NGOs encounter in their efforts to influence European policy, establishing him as an expert in political lobbying and human rights advocacy.

Agata Tomarchio

My name is Agata, I am a Global Politics and Euro-Mediterranean Relations master student at the University of Catania with a bachelor degree in History, Politics and International Relations. Beyond my academic studies, I’m a movie enthusiast and an avid reader. You can find me escaping reality listening to my favorite music, curating playlists for the perfect soundtrack to my daily life.

Andrea Rubino

Andrea Rubino has a bachelor degree in History, politics and international relations, and he’s currently a Glopem student. He’s researching populist attitudes in Africa as internship activity at Laposs. He enjoys playing music and contradicting people.

Emeka Eziukwu

Student

Emeka Eziukwu is a Nigerian and a master’s degree student of Global Politics and Euro-Mediterranean Relations at the University of Catania. Currently working as a research intern of the Jean Monnet Chair, focusing on populism in Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration and Government from the Imo State University in Nigeria and has had experience working in both the diplomatic and cultural sectors in his home country. He is interested in Europe-Africa relations.

Flavio Fuca

Flavio Fuca is a student in the master’s program for Global Politics and Euro-Mediterranean Relations (GLOPEM) at the University of Catania. He is passionate and experienced in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). His academic endeavors predominantly revolve around the historical and political dynamics of the Middle East, North Africa, and the Asia-Pacific Region.

Francesco Portoghese

Student

Francesco Portoghese is a bachelor student in History, Politics and International Relations. Between 2023 and 2024, he studied in Paris at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Fontainebleau for one semester thanks to an Erasmus scholarship. In 2022 he graduated at the Scientific High School "Liceo Galileo Galilei" of Catania. Between 2020 and 2021 he studied in the United Kingdom at Parkside sixth Cambridge College achieving the GCSE English diploma. He is an Italian native speaker, fluent in both English and French.

Mirea Nicolosi

My name is Mirea. I am a master's student in the Global Politics and Euro-Mediterranean Relations program. I have always been passionate about foreign languages and cultures. I love traveling and this allowed me exploring new countries in the last few years. When I'm not deciphering a political science handbook, I am likely to be planning my next trip, searching for the perfect soundtrack and the best spots for photos on social medias, while trying not to get distracted by puppy videos. Additional skill: enhancing PowerPoint abilities through TikTok video tutorials.

Mirko Narbone

Mirko Narbone is a master student in Glopem-Global Politics and Euro-Mediterranean Relations (LM-62), in the Department of Political Science in Catania. He had his bachelor in Foreign Languages in Ragusa Ibla (RG) in English and Chinese languages. He developed an interest in International Relations and Political Sciences during his master's, always ready to face new challenges and to improve himself. Mirko is a clumsy person who really enjoys joking around and making new friends.

Silvia Rabuazzo I am a Global Politics and Euro-Mediterranean Relations master student at the University of Catania with a bachelor’s degree in history, Politics, and International Relations. I really like working in the communications sector and I plan my life every six months or, better said, one Erasmus at a time.
