Prof. Xin Xuan Cheng, Jean Monnet Chair and Dean of the School of Economics at Hebei University, presented her research on how regional trade agreements are reshaping structural power within Asia-Pacific value chains: the role of economic integration, regional cooperation, and changing production networks in shifting the balance of power among states and economic actors, with implications for the study of globalisation, regional governance, and the political economy of trade.
