Over the past three days (22-24 May), Prof. Marcello Carammia conducted an intensive crash course on R and R-Studio, aimed at providing hands-on training to students. The course took place from Wednesday to Friday, between 15:30 and 19:30, and covered essential skills such as familiarising with the R and R-Studio environment, basic data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation techniques.
Participants were highly engaged throughout the sessions, showing great enthusiasm for the practical approach and the opportunity to apply their learning directly. Prof. Carammia also demonstrated how R can be used for writing and publishing reports, as well as sharing them online, further enhancing the students’ understanding of the versatility of R.
The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the course’s practical value and the clear, interactive teaching style. This initiative has undoubtedly equipped participants with valuable skills for their future academic and professional pursuits.
